Compass 1.2 M2 Released

The Compass team is pleased to announce to release of version 1.2 M1. Major features include:

  • Lucene 2.2 Support.
  • Improved OpenJPA support, now works with xml mappings as well.
  • Several improved in the mappings API, allowing to get specific property mapping. This simplifies external libraries integration and usability (will blog about it more later).
  • Pluggable Lucene LockFactory implementation is supported. People can now use the NativeLockFactory just by changing Compass configuration.
  • Dynamic boost property: The ability to map a property and have it as the boost value of the Resource/Document stored in the index
  • Several bug fixes and minor enhancements, read more here.
