TSSJS Barcelona Compass Presentation

I have uploaded the Compass presentation that I gave on TSS Java Symposium at Barcelona.

Any comments about the presentation are more then welcomed, since I hope this will be the baseline for other presentations I do about Compass, and I wish to refine it as much as possible. Also, what do you think, should I have started directly with Compass and Compass features, or should I stay with what I have?

I just gave it a view (a quick view, but I’ll read it again cause I would like to substitute our yet-another-lucene-framework with Compass), and I liked it (I knew already a little about Compass).

For what it concerns your question about the first part of the presentation (”Motivation behind Compass”), I think it is useful and also necessary to introduce Compass, so my opinion is to stay with it.

If you plan to speak about Compass to an audience who is quite comfortable with Lucene, its low-level APIs and drawbacks, you can “cut” the first part of the presentation, and show only the last part, which is quite self-contained IMHO :-)
